Rohit Basfore, a rising talent best known for his role in The Family Man Season 3, was tragically found dead on Sunday evening following an outing with friends in Assam’s Garbhanga forest. The young actor, originally from Assam, had returned to his hometown just months ago after gaining recognition on the national OTT stage.
According to reports, Basfore left his residence around 12:30 PM on Sunday, informing his family about a casual outing with friends. However, concern escalated when communication with him ceased later in the day. It was a friend who eventually notified the family of an accident, prompting immediate efforts to reach medical assistance. Despite being rushed to a hospital, Basfore was declared dead on arrival.
The tragic incident has sparked grief and concern, as multiple injuries were found on his body, including wounds to his head, face, and other parts. His body was recovered by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and sent for a post-mortem at Guwahati Medical College Hospital. The autopsy confirmed the extent of the injuries, and the police have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
