Dubai’s real estate market witnessed an unprecedented frenzy as Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan officially launched the 55-storey commercial tower named in his honour, ‘Shahrukhz by Danube’, at a glittering event. The celebratory atmosphere, attended by thousands of fans and investors, was compounded by an extraordinary announcement from the developer, Danube Properties: the entire project was “sold out” even before the actor took the stage.
The colossal commercial development, situated on the prestigious Sheikh Zayed Road, has a total saleable value exceeding ₹5,000 crore (over $600 million). Danube Group’s Founder and Chairman, Rizwan Sajan, revealed that bookings for the 488 premium commercial units—slated for completion by 2029—had been quietly opened two weeks prior and were instantly claimed by eager investors. The sheer speed of the sell-out is a powerful testament not just to the Dubai property market’s current strength, but to the colossal global brand power of the actor, who is practically synonymous with the city.
The tower is designed to be a landmark address, featuring over 40 high-end amenities, including a sky pool and a helipad for air taxis. A life-size statue of Shah Rukh Khan in his iconic arms-outstretched pose will grace the entrance, transforming the business hub into a unique tourist attraction. Speaking at the launch, the actor expressed deep gratitude, calling it an “honour” and reflecting on his long-standing bond with Dubai, a city built on “imagination, and the belief that nothing is impossible.” This project firmly places the Bollywood King on the architectural skyline, cementing his legacy in the Emirate.
